Know what a China supplier can prove before you commit.
RivetBridge helps U.S. hardware teams review supplier claims, normalize competing quotes, and define the next qualification gate for technically specified components.
Planning ranges in USD, not an instant quote. The final fixed fee, inputs, deliverables, and timeline are agreed in writing. Complexity or additional scope may change the price; no extra work starts without approval.
Need a different slice of the work?
These can be scoped separately or as a next step.
Our service fees exclude samples, tooling, laboratory testing, on-site audits, travel, freight, duties, and other supplier or third-party charges. External costs need separate approval.
Assignment
Planning budget
Defined starting scope
RFQ preparation
$500–$1,000
One component: consolidate supplied requirements into an RFQ brief and comparison template. Excludes engineering design and supplier outreach.
Qualification coordination
$1,000–$2,500 / milestone
One selected supplier: an agreed sample or document-review milestone, action tracker, and decision summary. Physical checks and third-party execution are separate.
Alternate-source development
$5,000–$12,000 / scoped program
One family: staged sourcing and qualification coordination with go/no-go gates. No guaranteed approval, launch date, or supplier performance.
Ongoing procurement support
Quoted after the first assignment
A monthly fee for agreed work and capacity. Defined after we understand the workload; not unlimited support.
Best fit:
Hardware teams with a defined component and a real purchasing decision. If you only need an off-the-shelf product quote or a basic company lookup, a narrower service may be enough.
A lower quote is a starting point. The useful question is whether the offer is complete, comparable, and ready for qualification.
ILLUSTRATIVE EXAMPLE · NOT CLIENT WORK
Access-controller enclosure
Scenario: a new supplier offers a lower unit price, but the quote leaves key details unanswered.
QUOTE REVIEW
This is a fictional teaching example. No actual supplier, quote, audit, or client result is represented.
Review area
What we notice
What to do next
Manufacturer identity
The quote names a seller, but does not identify the manufacturing entity.
Request the factory name, production location, and supporting evidence.
Technical fit
Material grade, coating, and drawing revision are missing.
Bring every supplier back to the same specification.
Commercial basis
Unit price is listed; tooling, packaging, and delivery terms are unclear.
Separate recurring costs from one-time charges and clarify the delivery basis.
Qualification
There are no acceptance criteria or sample-approval steps.
Define the sample checks and who makes the approval decision.
RECOMMENDED NEXT GATE
Hold the purchasing decision. Close the evidence gaps first.
Confirm the specification and commercial basis, then agree on sample acceptance criteria before committing to production.
03 / A straightforward process
Clarity at every step.
You keep control of supplier approval, purchasing commitments, and production decisions.
01
Frame the question.
Share the component, the current problem, and the decision you need to make.
02
Agree the assignment.
We define inputs, deliverables, exclusions, price, and timing before the work starts.
03
Build the evidence.
We review the information, document uncertainty, and carry out the agreed sourcing work.
04
Choose the next move.
You receive the findings, open issues, and a recommendation for the next decision gate.

China sourcing & procurement support
For U.S. hardware teams
RivetBridge helps teams move from a supplier’s offer to an informed purchasing decision: clarifying requirements, checking what the evidence supports, and organizing the next steps.
We work remotely with teams sourcing in China and coordinate local support when the assignment requires it. The location, partner role, and scope are agreed before on-site work begins.
Evidence before claims.Findings distinguish confirmed information from open questions.
Clear boundaries. No unapproved supplier commitments or unplanned third-party costs.
Your decision remains yours.A sourcing recommendation is not a product certification or guarantee.
05 / Before you start
Clear answers. No fine-print surprises.
What is included, how the work runs, and where the boundaries are.
06 / Practical buyer guides
Useful before we ever speak.
Checklists and worked examples to help you ask better supplier questions. No signup required.
A purchasing checklist for electronic component offers: authorized channels, source documents, lot identity, support limits and approval before commitment.
A hardware buyer checklist for a component end-of-life notice: affected part numbers, final order and shipment dates, demand assumptions and replacement review.
A purchasing checklist for changed supplier payment instructions: independent confirmation, a traceable review record and escalation before releasing funds.
Match a China factory audit to your decision: understand system, process and product evidence, blind spots, and when testing or a desktop review is needed.
Build a revision-controlled manufacturing RFQ with clear quantities, technical requirements, cost fields and a supplier deviation log before comparing quotes.
